Hi everyone! This is the May installment of my monthly 'chat' with you guys, the fans. I'll be back each month to update you with what's going on!

Hey everyone! A Happy Mother's Day to everyone. I just finished doing voice work on the new Warner Brothers' show The Zeta Project in the episode called Quality Time. I love doing voice work. It's a nice change of pace from on screen acting ..... Jana and I recently went to Disneyland and to the new Disney park California Adventure. It was Jana's first time to Disneyland -- and our first time to the new park. Maybe I am getting old, but California Adventure was much more my speed. We particularly enjoyed Superstar Limo -- it's a ride they have there that gives you a "limo ride" through Los Angeles, and sort of mocks the industry. We had a lot of fun, and took some photos you'll be seeing soon ..... We watched The Ninth Gate on cable recently. Don't you just love movies that don't have endings??? Makes you wonder if they just ran out of money at the end and just said, "let's end it here"?  ..... We are proudly wearing our new "RoryCon" shirts. If you are wondering what these are, they are shirts that some fans of Jules Verne from the SCIFI board have made up. Since Aurora Con didn't happen this year, they decided that any time any number of JV fans get together, it is a Rory Con -- or a mini Aurora Con. They decided to use Rory as the mascot, and put her on a series of t-shirts to promote the show. We will be having a Rory Con at Dragon*Con in Atlanta this year. If you would like to see the shirts, they are available for purchase at www.cafepress.com/davodd . I have nothing to do with the shirts, all the profits are going towards an ad that the fans will be placing in Entertainment Weekly and Variety. A big thanks to David Speakman, who dreamed up the idea, designing and selling the shirts ..... Yes, I did say that there will be a Rory Con in Atlanta, at the East Coast's annual Dragon*Con. It is over Labor Day weekend. I will be in attendance. You can see details on it at www.dragoncon.org.  Many fans from the SCIFI board will be in attendance, helping to promote the show before it hits syndication all over the country in September. I am planning a nice dinner for all the fans who are coming out to Atlanta to help. I will be doing a number of panels there, and will also (as far as I know) be one of the judges for the annual costume masquerade ball. Well, that's about it ..... hope you all are doing wonderful and I'll talk to you next month!
