April 2002

Chris at Denver's Starfest Convention

Hi! Happy April Fool's Day! I hope you like the changes we've made to the new website. Is it geeky to admit that I am toying around with it too? :) I'm just really honored by the jobs Vicci and Susan have done! They rock! :).....My three favorite tv shows right now are: 1. Forensics Files on Discovery-- Jana and I are huge true crime buffs. It's fun to try and figure out who's committed the crime before the clues all come together. 2. Survivor 4-- I wasn't a huge fan of the last one, because of the people they chose. I think this new group is very interesting and I am enjoying seeing the dynamics play out. 3. Laker games --- what did you expect me to say? :) .....As you probably know, I am a big fan of "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." I've seen it so many times now I know all the lines whether I want to or not. Jana and I are involved with the LA area singalongs and we have been lucky enough to meet John Cameron Mitchell on a number of occasions at these singalongs. To me, there is nothing more impressive as an actor who's tremendous talent is only matched by his modesty. I think John is very down to earth and personable, and terrific with the fans. There should be more actors like him.....Rory is very disappointed by the lack of letters she receives. She is seriously questioning whether people understand how big a star she is in her own right. :) She was however very honored to hear that people were wearing her tshirts at Dragon*Con. *just as a special aside: Jana and I love Rory. She's kind of like our child until we have the real thing. So we tend to give her this fantasy personality. Please bear with us.:) * .....Jana gave me The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule as a gift. It's been updated for it's 20th anniversary, this is one of the most comprehensive and in depth books about serial killer Ted Bundy. It's chilling to know that a man like that ever existed. Jana freaked me out when she told me that there are more serial killers now than ever before, according to a report she read. My theory, however is due to our extensive media and press these days, more of this information is being reported than was in the past......We've become more Blockbuster fans than movie going fans these days. I think I am going to scream if I hear yet another cell phone go off during a really important scene. And why is it they have to let the entire cheesy song play before they can pick up? :) The last movie I saw in the theatres was "I Am Sam."  Unfortunately, it was also plagued with non stop pagers, cell phones and chatter. I have a yearning to go see "Resident Evil" though.

Until next month,
